Your Film or Theatre Script

1st Tier Assessment.

You’re putting the final touches on your carefully crafted manuscript. You’ve killed off your favourite characters, you’ve ditched your favourite scene in order to rescue the plot. You’re ready to send it in. Or are you? We will read through your script, assess it for proofreading and formatting errors, as well as any glaring mistakes.  Did you change a character’s name halfway through and forget to fix up the earlier parts? We’ll find that shit.

Your assessment will include a marked up script (digital or analogue), and up to one page of general feedback with comments on formatting or repeated grammar and spelling errors.

2nd Tier Assessment.

You’ve done at least three drafts of your manuscript, time to get someone other than your partner or friend, someone who doesn’t know you very well, to read your baby with fresh eyes.  This is a scary prospect for some, but one of most valuable in the writing process. Feedback will include comments on structure, character and tone, as well as more general proofreading notes on repeated grammar and spelling mistakes.

Your assessment will include a marked up script (digital or analogue), and up to three pages of itemised feedback.

3rd Tier Assessment.

You have reached the amazing goal of the First Draft. It’s certainly a milestone, but you’re not done yet – now it’s time to really start honing your script to its finest polished points. We will review your work and give feedback on the emerging thematic concepts that you may not yet be fully aware of, any glaring inconsistencies in plot, character and location, as well as any early signs of repeated grammar and spelling errors.

Your assessment will buy you a marked up script (digital or analogue), up to three pages of itemised feedback, and either a phone/skype conversation about your script and ideas, or a coffee meeting for same.
